Since I last posted pictures of the room in progress, which was on a post a while back, we were blessed to be able to purchase the beautiful trundle day bed that you see from a neighbor-whose daughter also happens to be our babysitter! We got this solid wood bed, mattresses and all for a steal, and the shade of cream is only a hair off from matching the furniture we already have. It is actually exactly what I had in mind that I would love to have for Kailyn's big girl bed when she is ready. But this is also perfect for now in case we do need to spend some nights in the same room with Kailyn while she adjusts. Then later, it will already be a familiar piece of furniture when she grows out of her crib.
By the end of this week we should have our consulate appointment confirmed ( the last appointment we have in China before we leave so that Kailyn's visa will be issued). That date will determine when we travel. We are so excited to finally be at this point in the journey. Please continue to pray for this process, for Kailyn, and that travel will line up smoothly as it should.
